Epilogue?

I know I said there would be no more posts, but stuff keeps happening that may be of interest to some, so the saga continues.

Our plan, once we returned to our home in Pennsylvania, was to spend a month or two gardening, cleaning, painting, and fixing problems in the house, as well as having a moving sale.  Once the house was ready, we would list it.  Well, it turns out that the day we returned from our year-long odyssey, our neighbor told us he had a friend who might be interested in our house.  Two days later she came over to see the house, and one week later she brought over a contract, which we signed today.  Can you imagine?  Of course, all of this is contingent upon a house inspection, which can turn up problems that may be deal-breakers, but we are hopeful.

No real estate agents are involved,.  In addition, the buyer has told us we don't need to clean, garden, paint, or fix minor problems.  Can you imagine anything more ideal?  If the deal falls through, I will let you know.  And of course, we will do some gardening, cleaning, and fixing minor problems.  Pride, I guess.  What can I say?  We like our house.  It has been a good home.

It does mean that May and June will be crunch time.  We plan to sell as much as we can, and pack the rest.  We have a big job ahead of us.

But, not to worry!!  I do want to see everyone before we leave, and will make time for it. The good news is that we can live in our RV once we are out of the house, staying for awhile in the campground in West Chester where we stayed before.   We also hope to travel up the New England coast to Maine, visiting friends along the way, but that will be later in the summer.

I will close with another photograph of Munchkin.  He is singing to my dad's toes, I have no idea why!!  It was a singular occurrence.
