I decided you all deserve an update on our plans.
First off, everything happened so much faster than we anticipated. I had thought we would be here through the summer, but we sold our house two days after we returned
from our trip around the states, then had to pack, weed, clean, sign papers, cancel utilities, ship the car to my sister in California, have a moving sale, etc. The people that bought our house moved into
it July 1, so we have been living in our RV ever since.
Meanwhile the previous owners of our house in California were renting
it back from us, but they found and closed on a house much sooner than we
thought they would, and are moving out August 1. Since we don’t want to leave the house empty
too long, we will be heading back after a detour through Maine. I haven’t had time to do
everything I wanted to do, or see all the people I wanted to see, which saddens me. I am sorry I wasn't able to find the time.
Lee and I do hope to return from time to time. Philadelphia has been such a big part of our
lives I cannot imagine not coming back to see dear friends and
places full of happy memories. (Never in January or February, however - too cold!)
