Yellowstone critters, addendum

Lee and I finally saw a herd of sorts yesterday.  It was a bull elk and his harem of several cows, enjoying the river.  At the point this photo was taken, by Lee, the bull had not yet entered the stream.  He was alert, constantly looking for threats:
